Big Ideas: ''Our Bespoke Bathroom was worth every penny''
Faced with too much choice when it came to creating their dream bathroom, the Rowes called the experts in to help.
Who Lives Here:
Noreen and Alex Rowe and their children, Gary 18, Andrew 17 and Kirstie 14. They live in a 1960's bungalow in Edinburgh
What they Did:
Replaced a large shower that took up too much space and a sleek walk in design and swapped a compact bath for a luxury full size tub. Noreen and Alex also went for bespoke units to make the most of the space and to create plenty of storage for the whole family.
The Look:
Ultra chic with walnut units and Cream Tiles with a subtle damask motif.

Lessons Learned:
''Putting in the under floor heating was defiantly a good idea. Having a walk in shower means the ceramic floor tiles are always getting wet, but the under floor heating dries them off super quick'' Says Noreen.
'' We also made sure we chose tiles that had an anti slip surface as we don't want any accidents''.
The New Layout:
The bath is where the old wc and pedestal basin were, the wash hand basin and wc are where the old bath was and the new more streamlined shower is where the old shower tray used to be.
'' We love the shower-it has a remote control so it can be operated from outside the room and beeps when it reaches the temperature you want'' says Noreen.
'' The bespoke unit was fitted in a corner to give the family even more storage. The full length mirror was a must too as I was fed up with the kids using the wardrobe mirror in the mornings'' says Noreen.

How We Did It:
''We had a wish list of what we wanted- a walk in shower, a bigger bath, LED lighting, loads of storage and a modern look that wouldn't date.
The problem was we didn't know where to begin as there is just too much choice of products out there, so we decided to use an Interior Designer.
She came up with a new space- saving layout, suggested products, found tradesmen, and project managed the job.
The work took 2 weeks and cost £4,000 for the labour and from the planning stage to the final handover, the whole thing took 6 weeks''.
